Textbooks

How do I find the textbooks I need for my class?

You can search your courses at http://northeast.verbacompare.com and compare prices from other sellers such as Amazon, Chegg and Valorebooks for other textbook options. You can shop all sites from our website and check out from each store separately.

Can I rent my textbooks?

Yes, you have the option to rent your textbooks if they are on the current textbook rental list created by PrismRBS. To rent textbooks, you are required to have your driver’s license and a credit or debit card on file that expires after the return date. If the book is not returned by the due date, the credit card will be charged the difference between the purchase and the rent price.

Why was I shipped a new book when I requested a used copy?

Not all books are used. Some are newly released editions or are printed here on campus, so we cannot guarantee a used copy. If the store is out of used editions, a new textbook will be substituted.

What if I want to buy my rented textbooks?

Easy. All you need to do is keep your textbooks and the credit card on file will be charged the difference between the purchase and the rent price.

What is the difference between refunds and buyback?

Refunds are only accepted during the refund schedule (see below). To complete a refund, you must have the receipt and the book must be in the same condition as when you purchased it. If your book is no longer in new condition, we will give you a refund for the used price. All access codes must be intact and all shrink-wrapping still together.

Buyback is when we purchase your textbooks based on the market value of the book from our wholesalers or for bookstore needs. We do buyback every day. Buyback does not require a receipt. You can bring any textbook to buyback regardless of where you purchased it. Please note that not all books are eligible for buyback.
